Last Sunday, at Maplelawn Historic Garden, I worked with Fashion Designers Jana Hanzel and Emilia Torabi on a fashion shoot in Ottawa with several pieces they put together. I really had a fun time because I don't really get a chance to do shoots like this and I must say I really enjoyed it. We worked with models Natalie Osika and Gillian Cochrane from Angie's Model & Talent, and I must say it makes things very easy working with great models who know what they are doing. Also, my post processing was way easier ; thanks make up artist, Ariana Assadi. Finally, I want to give my biggest thanks to a friend I have not seen for 10 years, Lyndsey Mills. She came out and helped me with the shoot and even ended up being a light stand near the end.
BattleReel Commercial
This passed Sunday, I spent a full day participating in this commercial for Battle Reels. It was a long day but it was pretty fun I must say to be an "actor" for a day. Anyhow, the video debuts this Friday at the Digi60 Seconds Spring Screening. When I wasn't infront of the camera, I managed to document a few shots from the day, and the camera got passed around and even used as a prop...so I got some pretty interesting photos. Anyhow here were some of my favourites out of that camera that day. For more photos check out my Facebook Page.
Yoga Your Way Today
If you are interested in private yoga classes or smaller groups, Yoga Your Way Today might just be what you are looking for. I decided to go this route because I was just way too stiff to attend a normal beginners class. I have always dealt with back problems, and went to Jessica Ballard for some private classes to help me out and get me more flexible. And while I was not lazy, it was going great and things were looking promising, but as with everything I do...laziness prevailed. But, one day I will return! In the meanwhile, I got myself a new client. Here are some photographs I did for Jessica.
Bridezilla
I discovered this abandoned Barrhaven Motel thanks to fellow Ottawa photographer Undaily Power. I am really glad I did because it is a beautiful location for my concept. I want to thank my wife and Richard for helping me out in this little mini project. Also, if anybody is interested in helping me out on future projects as either as a model or assistant, let me know.
February 2012 Randoms
Since the start of winter, I have been lazy in taking pictures for whatever reason (cold, snow, Barrhaven) and now I have decided to get off that wagon. A few years ago, I tried doing a 365 project (a photo a day for 365 days), but failed miserably; I just did not have enough time. Thus, this time around the plan is take photos randomly and at the end of the month, I will take a look at what I have and post my favourites. Here are my favourites from February.

Julie and Jason's wedding
September 24, 2011- I was invited as the wedding photographer for Julie and Jason's wedding at the Montebello. I have only been there once before; it was during the winter season so I had no idea what it really had to offer. Wow, this place is great! I would love to stay there for a week and just relax and forget time - that is if I can afford it. I only know Jason from the few months we worked together, and coincidently I also worked with Julie as well in the past. They are really nice and easy-going people and made working with them a pleasure - both at our day jobs and at the wedding. I wish them all the best in their future. Here are some photos from that event. Again, I want to thank Heidi for helping me out.
